The sport of camel jumping is unique to Yemen, specifically along the Red Sea coastal region of Tihama. It consists of a row of camels lined up side by side. Contestants sprint down a track at full tilt and deftly leap over the row of camels Evel Knievel-style. Starting with a single camel, additional camels are added as the contest progresses. Whoever can clear the most camels is declared victorious.
