Anna Rogowska Accident (Video)

Anna Rogowska , Polish pole vaulter  and the reigning world champion, suffered a serious injury when her pole snapped at a recent competition in her hometown of Sopot, Poland.

The accident happened at the moment of takeoff while she was attempting to clear 4.70m/15-5.

Rogowska needed several stitches to close a gash on her hand and is expected to miss 3 weeks of competition.
