Georges Larnicol, a French chocolatier, created seven functional chocolate boats equipped with chocolate oars and sails which took part in a race on Odet river in Quimper, western France.

The boats were about six and a half feet long and weighed around 992 pounds. Even though the three boats sank, the chocolate boat regatta proved a success, at least judging by the crowd’s response.
