Did you know that the Moon is drifting away from the Earth?

Every year, the Moon moves 3,8 cm further away from us. Because of this, the Earth is slowing down.

Every century, the Earth rotation will be two milliseconds slower. In other words, 100 years from today, the day will be two milliseconds longer.
