Otter Attacks Coyote (Picture Gallery)

Photographer Max Waugh captured an amazing series of photos featuring an otter attacking a coyote. Waugh had been watching otters along the Lamar River in Yellowstone National Park on New Year’s Eve when one of the coyotes began circling the water.

The otter jumped out of the water, and instead of running away, it went after the agressor. The poor confused coyote turned tail and ran. The otter kept moving like nothing had happened, dove back into the river and headed back to the den.
