The 82-year-old Bob Hawke, considered by many to be Australia’s most popular prime minister ever, is no amateur when it comes to drinking beer.
In 1955, while he was a student at University College, Oxford, he set a new world speed drinking record – he drank 2.5 pints of beer in 11 seconds.
