Exploding Coffee (Video)

So, you make yourself a nice cup of coffee in the morning and then it suddenly punches you in the face! For real.

OK, so this is not really coffee, but it’s still a pretty darn cool video. The chemical experiment in question is actually an ‘explosive polymerization of p-nitroaniline by sulfuric acid.’ It doesn’t sound as exciting as exploding coffee, but now you know. :)
