A Georgetown, Texas, police officer was placed on administrative leave on Monday for tripping and pushing high school students during a girls soccer match celebration. Students from Vandegrift High School in Austin rushed the field in Georgetown after their girls’ team won its first state championship on Saturday. Officer George Bermudez decided to stop them like this:

Spanish golfer Pablo Larrazabal was attacked by a swarm of hornets during the second round of the 2014 Maybank Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur, on Friday. He escaped by jumping into the lake, but still managed to make a birdie on that hole after getting out of the water.

The crew of WCJB TV-20, the ABC affiliate in Gainesville, Florida, thought of a funny way to get around the NCAA broadcast restrictions. They decided to recreate the highlights of the Florida’s Elite Eight victory over Dayton by using a mini-basketball hoop in the newsroom.
Adam Fisk hooked an 11-foot hammerhead shark while fishing in his kayak off the coast of Florida. The shark dragged him out to sea and towed him for two hours before he finally cut the line. He filmed parts of his adventure with a GoPro camera, and at 4:27 you can even see a shot of the second hammerhead who was following his kayak!
