Bingo the Giraffe was filmed escaping its pen at Barley Circus in San Nicolas de los Garza, near Monterrey, Mexico, on Saturday. Its freedom was short-lived as it was soon recaptured and returned to the pen. The giraffe escape was caught on camera by Adriana Arreola and started going viral after she shared the footage on Facebook:

Hibernian defender Callum Booth accidentally hit a seagull flying above the pitch during Tuesday’s pre-season friendly with Dunfermline. Unlike some soccer players, the seagull didn’t dive and start rolling around on the ground. Instead, the bird regained composure and flew out of the stadium.
A 5’9″ “short” Israeli tennis player, Dudi Sela, needed a chair to give his opponent (and a friend), 6’11″ tall Croatian Ivo Karlović, a post-match hug at the Claro Open Colombia in Bogota, on Thursday.

A seaplane almost hit a whale while landing on water in Angoon, Alaska, on July 10. Luckily, the pilot managed to pull the plane up just in time to avoid a collision with the surfacing whale. Thomas Hamm caught the close call on camera.
