Janis and Bob Powell had a close encounter with a moose while snowmobiling outside Jackson, Maine, on Friday. The moose was following the same trail when they came upon it. They followed it for a short while and expected it to get off the trail any time, like moose usually do. However, this one decided to turn around and charge at snowmobilers:
A baby black bear is doing well at the Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care, after being dropped off at the nearby BEAR League in Homewood. According to the nonprofit organization, this is the first time ever a bear was left at their doorstep. They are still trying to figure out where she came from.
A man almost got run over by a train while crossing the railway in the small town of Rájec-Jestřebí, Czech Republic. CCTV footage released by the Czech police shows the 77-year-old hurrying across the tracks, only to be clipped by an oncoming fast train. The man escaped serious injury, but will be receiving a fine for his reckless behavior. The worst thing is that none of the drivers stopped to help him:
