BASE jumper extraordinaire Jeb Corliss recently shared raw footage from his wrist-cam filmed during the Flying Dagger stunt in China. It shows how close he came to the cliff wall:
BASE jumper Brian Drake flies down the Ensa gully in Chamonix, France for what is probably the closest wingsuit proximity flight ever. Without anyone getting injured or dying, of course.
BASE Jumper Thayer Healy is lucky to be alive after slamming into a cliff near Moab, Utah, on November 24. Healy suffered several broken bones and stitches in the cliff strike, but he is recovering nicely. He filmed the accident with a GoPro camera, so you can see the scary hit from his point of view:
Scotty Bob manages to one-up himself with a wingsuit proximity flight through a narrow canyon in Utah.
BASE jumper Chris ‘Douggs’ McDougall and his friends go wingsuit proximity flying in the beautiful mountains, cracks and forests of Switzerland. The footage is breathtaking.
Austrian BASE jumper Maria Steinmayr miraculously survived a failed jump from Gran Bali Hotel in Benidorm, Spain. Steinmayr was competing in the BASE Jump Extreme World Championship when her parachute malfunctioned, making her crash against the building several times before landing on the 10th floor. She managed to walk away with only bumps and bruises.
Our old friend Alexander Polli takes his wingsuit proximity flying a notch further and swoops through a narrow cave at Roca Foradada Mountains in Montserrat, Spain.
Jokke Sommer and Ludovic Woerth do a wingsuit flight into Rio de Janeiro. Best part – when they fly between two building!
Alexander Polli shared this video on his Facebook page the day after Christmas, but I saved it for a more appropriate date. May we all be at least half as awesome in 2013.!
