Moldovan Goalkeeper Radu Mitu managed to score the worst own goal in football history on his debut. Mitu’s team Milsami-Ursidos were playing against Rapid Ghidighici on Saturday when the young keeper threw the ball into his own net. His team lost the Moldovan First Division match 2-1.
Russian linesman Musa Kadyrov was banned for life after punching and kicking a player during a match between Amkar Perm and Terek Grozny on Sunday. Kadyrov launched his vicious attack on 18-year-old Amkar left-back Ilya Krichmar after the referee blew the final whistle. Kadyrov said Krichmar had insulted him but the player denied the allegation.
