The annual fireworks festival in Tainan City’s Yanshui District, Taiwan, is being dubbed as one of the most dangerous fireworks festivals in the world. It’s held at the end of the Chinese New Year featuring thousands of bottle rockets ignited from a ‘beehive’ to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck to those who are in the path of the rockets.
A giant yellow rubber duck on display in Taiwan’s Keelung Port has burst on Tuesday due to unknown circumstances. The huge inflatable duck, a bath toy replica designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman to promote peace and harmony, went out with a bang just hours before the countdown of the New Year. I guess you could say that the locals had their celebration plans – deflated.

A mudslide caused a giant boulder to fall onto a road near Keelung City, Taiwan, almost crushing a white sedan passing by. The right front of the car was smashed, but the driver was not injured, reports China Post.

A 71-year-old Taiwanese man fell asleep behind the wheel before his Formosa Matiz went flying into the windshield of another car. YouTuber Sky Kang caught the crash on his dash-cam. Amazingly, no one was seriously injured in this ‘Final Destination‘ type of accident.
